MERRY CHRISTMAS!

These family pictures for our Christmas card were a disaster. Catie kept saying "squirrel" from the movie "UP"! Sophie, our white dog, was scared of the camera. Oh well, you get the point! Merry Christmas.

TEMPLE SQUARE & MORMON TABERNACLE CHOIR CONCERT!

Mike and I went to Salt Lake City to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert with guests Natalie Cole. We spent the night up there and walked around temple square to see all the lights and shopped all day on Friday. These are some of our pictures. This is the picture of the temple we were married in almost 20 years ago.

CATIE'S CONCERT!

Brooke just turned 17 years old in September. Doesn't she look like me? I wish! She is a wonderful girl. We are so proud of her. Maybe next time, Caitlyn will let me take new pictures of her for our Christmas cards! Ann

THANKSGIVING!

Wow. I have so much to be thankful for. The best parent's in the world, 3 older brothers that always make sure I am ok, the most loving husband who supports me in everything I do (even BYU football), 2 beautiful girls that are straight A students, musically talented, and so much help to me, a wonderful job, a warm gorgeous home, great neighbors and friends, a free country and perfect health. BYU vs. UTAH!

I have always loved football since being a cheerleader in Jr. High and High School. I get to golf with Bronco Mendenhall (BYU football coach) and Kyle Whittingham (Utah football coach) each summer at the Kidney Foundation Golf Tournament. I am a true blue BYU fan. (I get way too emotional - just ask Mike) I will probably spend half the game hiding behind my couch not watching the best play of the game. I get so excited I just can't look! I don't get to go to the game because I would probably get escorted out if BYU starts losing. Both of these teams have the same record this year - 11wins and 2 losses, but it is BYU's turn to WIN. GO COUGARS!

This year for Halloween we set up the "Madsen Diner" on Mike's snowmobile trailer and put it in our driveway! We had so much fun dancing, popping corn for the kids, playing our oldies music and dressing up like the 50's. Thanks for a great time!

For lunch today, I went up Provo Canyon to this park. The colors are amazing! What a beautiful place! I love fall. I just wish it would last a little longer before the snow begins to fall!

Brooke is 17 today. Happy Birthday Brooke. Yes, she got 2 bouquets of flowers (from boys) and had a great day! We love you Brooke!

Ann's 40th Birthday!

My 40th birthday was Sunday, September 13th. I got to spend the weekend in the mountains at Aspen Grove. What a marvelous 40 years I have had. I have the 2 most wonderful parents I could have ever asked for. They taught me from day one the values of hard work and being happy. I was born and raised in Mississippi (what a beautiful place). I had fun and exciting school days being a cheerleader, playing in the band, taking piano lessons and having great friends. I got a college education and moved to Utah to finish my education. I married the greatest man for me! Mike supports me in everything I do (yes, even BYU football). We have been married for almost 20 years and happy as can be. Then I had 2 girls, Brooklyn and Caitlyn. They bring us so much joy and laughter. They are awesome kids! We would be lost without them. I have always been blessed with a good job. I currently work for the National Kidney Foundation of Utah & Idaho. It is very rewarding each day as I help kidney dialysis patients. I am healthy and happy to be 40! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

Wow! What a game against #3 ranked Oklahoma! We went to my Uncle Parley & Aunt Janie Holliday's house in Highland to watch the game with them! The noise level was unbelieveable! You would have thought BYU just won the superbowl! Great time!

Ann has lived in Utah 20 years this month and never hiked to the Y! We decided it was time!! It took us 40 minutes to get to the top!

1st DAY OF SCHOOL!

Brooke is a Junior this year at a brand new beautiful high school-Maple Mountain! She loves all her teachers and is making many new friends. She is a straight A student and loves school!

Cailtyn is in the 8th Grade at Mapleton Jr. High School. She loves playing her violin in the orchestra. She is the social butterfuly and is friends with everyone! She never meets a stranger! She is an excellent student (makes almost all A's) but is most of all a wonderful friend!
