Christmas Eve & Christmas Day!

We had a wonderful white Christmas! We hope everyone else had a wonderful Christmas too!Brooke & Catie riding in the car going to Grandma's house Christmas Eve!
Catie got a cell phone, coat, clothes, DS games, movies, a rubix cube, pajamas, makeup, a tube for snow sledding, etc.

Brooke got a love seat for her bedroom, digital camera, i-pod dock, clothes, a leather coat, jewelry, gas card for her car, a tube for the snow, etc.

Christmas Picture!

We have enjoyed the snow this past week so decided we would take a family picture. This is the first picture we have ever taken in the snow!

SNOW FINALLY!

We finally had the 1st big snow storm on Saturday. It snowed all day! Now it will seem like Christmas!

EARLY CHRISTMAS PRESENT!

Today we had Christmas early! We got Mike's bear back from the taxidermist that he shot hunting in Idaho in April! Isn't it cool? He is hanging in our living room on the wall going down the stairs!

Thanksgiving morning at 7am, Mom and Catie went to K-Mart to shop the big sale. Then we spent 2 hours going through the newspaper ads to hit the sales tomorrow for Black Friday. This year for Thanksgiving dinner we went to Mom's side of the family in Highland, Utah. We ate at Uncle Parley & Aunt Janie Holliday's house. We ate, played games, and laughed some more. Then we went to the Madsen's (Mike's parents) to get our little smoker and make candy houses. This year's little smoker is our favorite. It is a chef. (see picture above)

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS!

Mom loves Christmas and especially the lights! This is our house decorated for Christmas this year! (We hope it doesn't blow up from a power overload) She also put up 3 Christmas trees inside! We have blown 2 fuses and had to cut and solder the wires together to make them stay on! Mom decorated early this year because Thanksgiving is a week late. Merry Christmas!

HISTORY!

Yes we have elected a new President of the United States of America! Good Luck Obama and God Bless America! Tuesday when I went to vote, a wave of gratitude swept over me. I have never felt more grateful to vote. That freedom alone is so marvelous and is such a blessing to all of us who have that privilege! Yes we had our first snow storm Nov. 5th! Catie was excited to wear her scarf and snow boots to school!

Mike received his Scouting Woodbadge beads! He enjoyed Woodbadge and encourages everyone to go if you get the opportunity!

Witches at Gardner Village!

The girls were out of school for UEA so we went to Gardner Village to see the Halloween Witches! Brooke & Catie loved their entertainment. We ate lunch and enjoyed the nice warm sunshine!

Brooke's First Date!

Brooke had her 1st date on October 11th. This is Tanner! They did a progressive fast food dinner, carved pumpkins and went to a dance!

Brooklyn's Sweet 16!

Brooke is Sweet 16! For her birthday, we had a fun party at our house! On her birthday we went to get her driver's license.

Mom's 39th Birthday!

Ann loves BYU Football! For her 39th birthday on Saturday, she went to the BYU vs. UCLA football game! Of course, it was a shut out, 59-0. This is a picture of Ann and Cosmo, the BYU mascot. GO BYU! Happy Birthday Ann!

Our Sweet Whitney!

Mike's neice, Whitney Baird, passed away from ALS on August 21st. We had her funeral August 26th. She was such a special missionary and angel. We love her!

SCHOOL STARTS!

Brooke's first day of High School. She is in the 10th grade at Springville High School. Catie's first day of Junior High. She is in the 7th grade at Mapleton Jr. High.

Driver's Ed Class!

Brooke is taking Driver's Ed class. She is learning how to change a flat tire on the car. She will get her Driver's license on her 16th birthday, September 15th!
